On the "Meaning of Love"
Introductory notes:
![]()
Many years ago, my original "research team" began a study on
"emotions" vs. "emotionality".
During this study, the subject of "love" came up over -- and over -- again. And, of course,
there were many hours of (heated?) discussion as to the "meaning" of this "word".

It appeared that this little word -- like "GOD?" -- was one which seemingly defies any clear-cut,
universal, definition. Everyone had an opinion ( to which everyone else was entitled??? ),
but there was never a "consensus" until --------- in 1977, the following was created
as a "conceptual device" which could (in theory) be used by by every human
in need of finding a way to express the "feeling of love" in words:
ODE to LIFE.....
and -- to those whom
I have come to love during the process of living:

Where there is "Beauty" ....... there is, also, "Love".
For is not the "essence of Love",
A deeply emotional, responsive, "Appreciation of Beauty" ?
And, do not both "Beauty" and "Love"
Reside, solely, in the "mind" of the Beholder ??

I Beheld !
I Love !!
YOU !!!

Notes:
The reason for the inclusion of this "Ode" is that it serves, quite well,
as a "teaching-learning tool". When one or more begin to examine
this "conceptual device", it CAN lead to many -- quite interesting --
discussions which can often produce fascinating "avenues" for
mental exploration. "We suggest you try it out -- both by yourself
and
with some "open-minded" friends and/or acquaintances.

One of the more interesting "avenues" is that
this "conceptual device" can also explain
why some people FALL OUT of love.
