Special Notes -- Expansion
regarding "invisible implications"
![]()
You may remember reading the following paragraph in the PROLOGUE:
The moral of this story, then -- (and the reason for our "book"?)
--
Is that (we think)
some things in life deserve a second look.
But
"looking-at" and "seeing"
(as magicians will agree)
Are often two quite different things (if only in degree).
[ Note: "listening" --
and "hearing" -- are also two quite different
things ]

Throughout A-David's "Perspectives of Life" -- as well as throughout ALL of his writings --
certain words have been "italicized" (and/or placed inside quotation marks) to indicate
that these "special words" have "special nuances" which -- when understood --
can measurably enhance the "flavor" of the perspective (or other writing).Using a (good) dictionary to search out the various nuances -- or flavors --
can do wonders for expanding one's command of the English Language.
However -- this "technique"
does something else -----
IT SLOWS DOWN THE READING PROCESS
and, hopefully, encourages a greater degree of focus on understanding what is being read
through the process of making "invisible implications" -- VISIBLE.

Every writer has a "mental flavor" in mind when he (or she) "time-binds" a thought. However, it has become
the custom NOT to use any literary devices to convey that "flavor" to the reader BECAUSE .....
(quote)
"readers don't like it.. (these devices) ....... they make the writing too hard to read".
(unquote)
SO --- "SUCCESSFUL (?) AUTHORS" are those who "pay attention" to what readers want ---- but the result??
The "flavor"
of their writings are often FILLED with "invisible
implications" that
Could of -- Should of -- Would of --
made the readers even more appreciative of the writing had said
implications been visible.

A-David-- (never considering himself to be an "author" in the first place)
-- simply WROTE -----
and, not being concerned with "success" (or the lack
thereof), he did his best
to make ALL of his "implications" VISIBLE -----
(or, at least, as many as possible).
Never expecting to be "published", there was NO expectation of ever having to face wrathful readers --
BUT -- in the event anyone ever did read any of his work -- perhaps? -- just PERHAPS !! --
the "reading" might -- (just might) -- actually result in (enhanced) "learning"??
SPECIAL NOTE TO (POTENTIAL) WRATHFUL READERS
IF
You happen to be among those who dislike the way A-David wrote anything ??? WELL, that is simple enough to "fix".
Just download your own Personal Copy of his TRIPPING in the Noumena
and, simply
RE-WRITE everything you DON'T like into a style you DO like --
for your PERSONAL use
(Isn't that a "neat" way to solve the problem ???) DONE !!!! [ and -- of course -- the same would apply to any of MY comments as well ] ***grin***
Now -- Back to
"Special Notes" page???
