Expansion of the "Peer-Level Motivation" factor

One function of the S U A B C "awareness/action" program is to provide a means

for children (and adults) to view themselves -- and the world in which they live --

through a different "looking-glass" ----- and, perhaps gain a new perspective ?

One time-honored perspective, awaiting each viewer, is that he (or she) is, in fact, a "special person" --

and, as such, is automatically a "member" of a world-community of "special persons"

who, though individually unique, are "in essence" all the same.

While "honorary membership" IS a birthright of every functional human being -----

a "sense of belonging" is NOT -- automatically -- included.

This must be earned by becoming an "active member" who

participates in the world-community's activities.

This change of "membership status" is a matter of personal choice.

Non-participation in the world-community's activities -- (or..... "just looking out for #1") --

usually leads to a feeling of isolation and insecurity.

Participation can lead to a "sense of belonging" -- and, to an

enhanced appreciation of one's own self-worth.

In general, those who elect to remain "non-active members" view life

through "the lens of human differences" -- and, as a result,

develop an ego-centric attitude towards life.

The qualities most commonly associated with this attitude are:

Apathy -- Selfishness -- Dishonesty -- Ignorance -- and Disrespect

[ Ego-centricity engenders a SAD ID ??? ]

In general, those who elect to become "active members" view life through

"the lens of human similarities" -- and, as a result, develop an

Eco-centric attitude towards life.

The qualities most commonly associated with this attitude are:

Thoughtfulness -- Sharing -- Truthfulness -- Understanding -- and Respect

[ Eco-centricity engenders TRUST !!! ]

Following the principle that every functional human being has the faculty of "free-will",

S U A B C offers every "special person" two paths which can be followed -----

with the "choice-of-path" being -- entirely -- a personal matter.

The first path simply entails "doing nothing",

relative to resolving "the problems of MAN".

The second path leads to "involvement" with a committed

"peer-pressure-group" of Very Special Persons who

have chosen to become "part of the solution".

Gaining a "sense of belonging" to this positive segment of

human-kind is just one of the "personal incentives"

offered to those who are willing to:
