S. U. A. B. C.
Expansion of "Collective Leadership by Example"
![]()
In the process of bringing AHLEC's Journey --
and AHLEC's World-- into global-view --
it seemed like a good idea to use this opportunity to encourage individuals to
join in an effort to demonstrate "collective" Leadership By Example.
![]()
When an individual likes the positive concepts being
presented by AHLEC's Journey
and decides to become an "official" Good Will Ambassador ----- (in theory)
it IS possible that this person is -- still --one of the "silent majority"
who are "passively" part of the problem.
![]()
SO ----- why not encourage every Good Will Ambassador to Stand Up And Be Counted -----
and become part of a new "collective" of individuals who wish to be "part of the solution"?
In the near future, it is intended that AHLEC's Webmaster will be able to deliver
a "personalized" Very Special Person -- Leadership by Example -- Certificate,
via website download, that each GWA can print out and show others.
![]()

While the "Certificate" will indicate a GWA's
participation in the S.U.A.B.C. program,
it will also connote that this GWA is one of AHLEC's Partners In Community.
![]()
Each participating GWA will be
entitled to use the official
AHLEC's PIC symbol (shown below) in several ways
[ and there will be a choice of either RH AHLEC or LH AHLEC images ]
![]()
It is anticipated that "discussions" between the
active participants in the S.U.A.B.C program
will -- in time -- lead to the development of many (valid) ideas and concepts relative to
bringing about a FINAL resolution to the problem of "substance abuse".
![]()
In the meantime ----- ideas and concepts which
S.U.A.B.C. participants feel worthy
of immediate consideration, and possible implementation, should be forwarded to:
AHLEC@ahlec.net -- (subject) -- "S U A B C Suggestion Box Entry"
![]()
One of the "suggestions" -- already being implemented -- is to create a specific
AHLEC's Partners In Community decal
for the back of any automobile/truck/boat/scooter/taxi/or bus, etc. -- which clearly says
( in a very gentle -- AND non-verbal manner -- to anyone behind said vehicle ):
"This vehicle is being operated by a
Very Special Person
who is NOT impaired by either alcohol or drugs".
( "Leadership by example"?? )

Think about the "Don't drive Drunk" sticker on a rear car window -- which points at the person BEHIND
the car that bears the sticker. Seems like the driver in front is "preaching" to every other driver
behind -- BUT says NOTHING about what the driver himself (or herself) might be doing.
![]()
With an AHLEC's PIC "decal", every driver BEHIND the car bearing the decal will be aware
that the driver in front is trying to be "part of the solution" and is trying to Lead by Example.
AND-- while adults might not notice this decal --
tests have proven that children DO NOTICE !!!
![]()
In addition -- for those who like the idea -- an AHLEC's PIC "button" could easily be created
for those who, purposely, assume the role of "Designated Driver" when it's "party-time".
[ With separate "buttons" for "right handed" and "left handed" Designated Drivers (grin) ]
![]()

Have you ever thought about this???
In all the years that the subject of "Drunk (or impaired) Driving" has been in the forefront
of highly publicized "societal problems" ----- NO ONE has ever come up with
a -- (universally recognizable) -- identification button
for a Designated Driver.
![]()
Question:
Do you think an AHLEC's PIC button could fill this conceptual void?
