Welcome to AHLEC's GIMP Project

A challenging "experience"
for the "novice"
artist
![]()
AND
It is as simple as ONE -- TWO -- THREE *grin* ----- (as if?)
1 -- download a wee bit of software (free)
2 -- get hold of some digitalized images to work on (free)
3 -- start "manipulating" the images from what they were to what you want them to be (free)
(assuming you don't charge yourself for your time and effort *grin*)
PLUS ------ we even show you the results achieved
by our very first student (also known as S-1)
so you can check your own progress?

SO ----- moving from the simple to something a bit closer to reality >>>>>
Here are some of the "details" regarding
AHLEC's GIMP Project

![]()
On the Internet -- awaiting your arrival -- is a fascinating FREE software program called The GIMP.
1 -- All you have to do is to go to this official website -- download and install the latest version.*
* see notes below if you use a Mac -- or want to know what help is available*
![]()
2 -- To make this project both more interesting -- and more inclusive from the standpoint of all students
being able to have the same "starting point" in their learning process -- The Emerald Trust
has arranged for some digitalized images of a long-lost art collection to be made
available to anyone who would like to follow S-1's learning/doing effort.
![]()
THE "lost collection" is named Windows Into Space ( WIS )
and now exists as only on The Emerald Trust's computer
as 230 digitalized photorealistic surrealism images
of Robert W. Anton originals circa 1972 - 1975.
S-1 recently produced the digitalized images
by scanning old 35mm film and photos
onto a computer in high resolution
jpeg format -- later converted
to png format to preserve
archival integrity.

YOU MAY NOW DOWNLOAD S-1's scanned images to YOUR computer to BEGIN YOUR LEARNING EXPERIENCE
(IF -- of course -- that is what you decide to do -- along with your Level 2 Social Entrepreneurial training ???)
![]()
The WIS images are divided into 12 groupings which correspond to the actual original collection of art being
Class A -- 100 5x7 acrylic paintings -- now divided into 5 groups of 20 images each
Class B --100 8x10 acrylic paintings -- now divided into 5 groups of 20 images each -- and
Class C -- 30 varied sized acrylic paintings -- now divided into 2 groups of 15 images each.
Each group has been "zipped" for easy transfer to your computer. Just download
one or more of the files -- save the download to a folder -- and unzip the images.
This is your
to the download page
(whenever you are ready)
You will then be ready to OPEN any one of these 230 JPEG files
and begin the process of restoring the image to GALLERY
condition using your newly acquired -- fascinating --
(G)nu - (I)mage - (M)anipulation - (P)rogram ----- a.k.a. The GIMP

*NOTE: Though AHLEC's GIMP Project was started using a PC with WIN XP, there are downloads available
at www.gimp.org/ for those who like using a Mac. In addition to the Help Files that can be
downloaded -- there is also a HUGE amount of assistance available "on line"
-- via GIMP users in many countries -- and in languages
other than the English used here.

FINAL NOTES"
AHLEC's GIMP Project offers NO "guarantees" that a student will either like or benefit from participation.
This is merely an example of how a FREE "teaching-learning tool" can be brought into world-view
for use as each participant sees fit -- to possibly enhance his/her personal existence.
NO "fine-print legalese" is involved with this "teaching-learning" experience --
just the open and honest interaction by individuals of "good will"
helping each other be the best each can be in an
atmosphere of "synergistic creativity".
Enjoy your experience !!!
