HI !!!

My Name is AHLEC ----- and, in this image of ME,

I'm "happy" -- as each Special Person should be !

One of my tasks is to let people know

Just how "special" YOU are --

( wherever WE go ).

The little "rhyme" -- above -- is an experimental "teaching/learning tool".

It is used to introduce "children" (of all ages) to the concept
THAT ----- relative to one's "creative potential"......

every person in the world is unique ----- and,

every person is, therefore, "special".

However, rather than emphasizing superficial "differences"
(by means of which people separate themselves from others),

AHLEC demonstrates, symbolically, that -- in essence --
all "persons" are the same

On the surface, AHLEC may "appear" to be a fairly simple art-form in
that it is merely (?) "a little cube with a smiling face". YET -----

IF turned upside-down, this "little cube" will "frown".

That simple (?) characteristic lets AHLEC help a person to say -- non-verbally --
to the world-at-large:

"Look at ME ! ----- I am a Special Person !! --- (just like you )"

"I can be happy; or, I can be sad ----- (just like you)"

"I can be glad or, I can be mad ----- (just like you)"

[ Children are, often, quite surprised to discover that parents --
teachers --and other adults -- are Special Persons too. ]

While AHLEC -- as a Special Person Symbol -- is simple enough
to delight children (of all ages), this art-form is also complex enough
to enchant (and challenge) even the most sophisticated, thoughtful adult,
because -----

AHLEC effectively symbolizes the "essence" of Creative Man

However -- the process of demonstrating how beautifully "simple" the "complex" can be --
and how beautifully "complex" the "simple" can be --
has made THIS a VERY LONG page --
hence it was decided to break AHLEC's Attributes into "byte-size" packets (grin):

beginning with -----

a "deconstruction" of AHLEC (using a "magic eraser") and then

"re-creating" a SPECIAL PERSON SYMBOL -- called AHLEC -- from "scratch"

The items below provide the "keys" to the de-construction and re-construction process.

But first -- a WARNING: That which follows requires "THOUGHT"

The creation of AHLEC -- as a "universal" SPECIAL PERSON SYMBOL -- involved the investment
of thousands of hours of careful thought and effort . PLUS--- years of testing were done --
-- among children (of all ages) from all walks of life -- BEFORE it was deemed
reasonable to bring AHLEC into world-view via this website.

The presentation of AHLEC -- to children -- is to be done via parents, teachers, mentors,
other adults and, to some extent, by a child's peers ----- often, one child at a time.

For this to be done successfully, the "presenters" need sufficient
information to answer a child's questions.

The following pages present that information -- and with this knowledge -- a presenter
will be able to answer (perhaps) 99% of all questions that may be asked.
