SO -- without further ado ----- here are the files --- AND their file sizes.
Just right click on any file-name -- and select "save as"....
The file will then immediately download
from this Emerald Trust website
to your computer.
(and good luck).
PS --- IF this seems like "too big a task" -- do as S-1 did ------
simply start with image # a-001 and go on -- or not -- from there.

WITH the JPEGS the fun began -- as S-1 started with "image 001" and tried
using the GIMP "tools" to rework the "damaged image" and
then create a new "master image" worthy of being
presented to the public in a "gallery setting".
You can now be the judge of how well
S-1 did -- or didn't -- do. And
you now have the means
to find out If you
can improve
on S-1's
work.

Here are twelve "tables" that show the "before" and "after" of S-1's efforts

Points of interest?? At first glance one might not think any jpeg is "damaged" or "faulty" ----
However ----- GIMP allows up to 800 x magnification. NOW, see the "flaws"??
ALSO -- for those with LCD monitors -- examine the images from
different viewing positions -- NOT just "straight on".
SOME interesting "problems" show up !!

FINAL NOTES"
AHLEC's GIMP Project offers NO "guarantees" that a student will either like or benefit from participation.
This is merely an example of how a FREE "teaching-learning tool" can be brought into world-view
for use as each participant sees fit -- to possibly enhance his/her personal existence.
NO "fine-print legalese" is involved with this "teaching-learning" experience --
just the open and honest interaction by individuals of "good will"
helping each other be the best each can be in an
atmosphere of "synergistic creativity".
Enjoy your experience !!!
